OUR PROGRAMS

Wellness Program - Boxing with Insight (BWI)

Emphasis is placed on empowerment, building self-esteem, development of leadership skills, academic success and physical arts through boxing. This interactive program provides participants with a unique opportunity to be trained in boxing. Our youth will be given a chance to build new relationships, gain new skills and have fun.  The five primary components of our program, allow the youth to develop insight into their own self-perception and helps them break the self-destructive cycle of failure.

This project is a collaborative effort consisting of Community and Faith based organizations who are partnering with the Contra Costa County Department of Social Services to provide services that present our youth with opportunities to succeed. BWI enables youth to receive guidance designed to promote critical thinking while assisting youth to make and understand the decisions made concerning their lives.
